Fun Fun and more Fun!!!

If a passer-by didn't know me, they'd probably think I ran a day care business out of my home! Been 1 of those weeks of having friends here everyday ... some playdates, others have just been situations where I've been helping out friends who really needed it. I know they would do the same for me! The boys have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with some friends who we havn't had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with recently  ... today, it's with 1 of Robbie's closest buddies (and his adorable little sister) - 5 kids all under the age of 5 - thank goodness for 1 sweet little girl! :). All the boys have had more energy than I've known what to do with. I wish they'd share some of it with me! :) I took them all outside pretty early for a few hours to expel some energy and they had a ball ... and fortunately (for my sake), they all relaxed for awhile when we got in, which I so needed! Amazingly, there has been no fighting and everyone has been playing and getting along wonderfully. YAY! I am looking forward to Daddy-O coming home later to give me a bit of a break though (and maybe a foot massage, too)! :) Thankful to have so many dear little ones in our lives who bring such happiness and joy into our children's lives. We love these sweet little people! And thanks to their amazing Mom who supplied us with a most yummy lunch!

Halloween in April! :)

This week has been a non-stop friend week and today was no exception! My boys had a ball with their little neighbor pal and dressed up in their Halloween costumes to play outside. They've been outside all day, every day and sleeping in until nearly 8am ... making this prego mama tired, but oh so worth it! Thankful for a low-key week with few commitments, other than play and brothers and friends (and karate, too)! My kids play so hard and I'm quite convinced that they could live outside if I let them! :)

Our day of sunshine and rest! Well, maybe not rest, literally, but our day as a family!

So, this is one of the many reasons my husband amazes me ... he never stops, literally, both on his work days and his days at home. We spent the morning at church, and than came home to do some landscaping/yard work and then a fun afternoon with the kiddos. It was an absolutely gorgeous day so we spent it outside enjoying the sunshine. It was such a blessing after too many icky rainy days spent inside lately! He hopped on the bike with our 2 big boys while Mommy and Sammy drove behind ... I wish I had half of his energy and that I could make something so strenuous look that easy! The boys had a ball and as I drove past numerous times, I heard lots of giggles and "get Mommy!!" We took a pit-stop at Grandma and Pop-Pop's house and then Rob rode the boys up to the park where we played and rode bikes some more, this time with Sammy and Daniel while Robbie rode with his Daddy. Sammy LOVED it! :) I guess we'll have to let the boys take turns so Sammy can have his fill, too. I just realized that today is his 18-month birthday .... where does the time go?! I need to capture all these memories so that I never forget these precious times. Here are a few pictures from our wonderful day spent as a family!

Fun times!

So, after a fun-filled family/friend day with 2 of my boys great buddies, my husband decided to not only chop my oldest son's hair, but give him a mohawk, too! :) I was quite hesitant at first and told him, NO! But I must admit the end result is quite cute. He was excited to go to church this morning to show everyone his new do for Jesus! Being the cute little guy he is, I'm quite certain he'd look adorable in any hair style, though it must be short in this household! The shorter the better, it seems! We are SUPER excited to finally be anticipating some nice weather this week. Starting out with helping Daddy plant some new flowers and bushes in our yard and a friend's yard today ... than off for a fun bike ride around the lake with Daddy (being pulled by him that is!) I'm thinking that Robbie may very well be able to ride with his Daddy next year. He's a great bike rider now, but just too young to ride for several miles and up and down hills. How fun for Sammy when he gets to be pulled, too! Next year, for sure! We're planning a fun day out in Farmville this week, visiting Daddy at work and good friends. No speech therapy and no swim practice so LOTS of free time. Should be a treat for us all. Not sure what else is on the agenda ... but we'll take each day as it comes and enjoy the amazingly beautiful weather God is blessing us with!

The picture below is of my friend's adorable little boy (and my middle guy's little buddy) who spent the day with us yesterday. Such a cute kid and I just love the action shot of him running ...
